Closed-End Blind Rivets
Pop closed end rivets permanently join two materials by inserting the body of the rivet into a hole, then using a rivet tool to pull the mandrel, causing the body of the closed-end rivet to expand. The pressure of the tool eventually pops off the mandrel, leaving behind the secured rivet.
RC Fasteners provides countersunk closed-end blind rivets, dome closed end blind rivets and grooved dome closed-end blind rivets in various sizes and material options to meet your application requirements. Closed End Blind Rivets Are a Strong and Weatherproof Fastener Solution
Closed end blind rivets feature a fully enclosed mandrel end to prevent moisture or gas from seeping through the rivet and to prevent the broken off portion of the mandrel from falling into a component during installation. They provide a tight and secure seal and are fast and easy to install.Your pop closed end rivets should be selected in the same material as your application components to ensure chemical compatibility, and in a grip range and diameter that matches the material thickness and the diameter of your drilled holes. If you are working with irregular or oversized holes, you may want to consider using a backup rivet washer to ensure a secure hold.
Alum/Alum Dome Closed-End Blind Rivets
These closed end dome head pop rivets feature an aluminum body and mandrel. The dome head is twice the size of the body diameter and is fully enclosed in the end of the rivet for applications involving gas or liquids. Aluminum provides corrosion resistance and is a lightweight material with lower tensile strength than steel.- Sizes: 4-2 to 6-10
- Grip Ranges: 0.020-0.125 to 0.501-0.625
- Diameters: 1/8, 5/32, 3/16
Alum/Steel Countersunk Closed-End Blind Rivets
Aluminum countersunk closed end blind rivets with a self-contained steel mandrel with a head that is completely protected and secured within the closed end of the rivet. Countersunk closed-end rivets feature a flange that sits flush with the material surface after installation to provide a smooth finish. The aluminum body of this pop closed end rivet provides corrosion resistance and the steel mandrel provides high tensile strength.- Sizes: 4-2, 4-4, 6-4
- Grip Ranges: 0.063-0.125, 0.188-0.250
- Diameters, 1/8, 3/16
Alum/Steel Dome Closed-End Blind Rivets
This aluminum closed end blind rivet features a self-contained steel mandrel and a slightly rounded head that is twice the size of the body diameter. Aluminum has a lower shear and tensile strength but provides corrosion resistance.- Sizes: 4-1 to 8-6
- Grip Ranges: 0.020-0.125 to 0.501-0.625
- Diameters: 1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 1/4
Stainless 304/Stainless 420 Grooved Dome Closed-End Blind Rivets
Grooved dome closed end blind rivets feature a grooved surface that provides superior grip for use with various materials. Features a stainless 304 body and stainless 340 mandrel. Stainless steel provides higher tensile strength and shear strength, resists corrosion and can withstand exposure to various chemicals and solvents.- Sizes: 4-2 to 6-10
- Grip Ranges: 0.020-0.125 to 0.501-0.625
- Diameters: 1/8, 3/16
