Countersunk Blind Rivets
Nail rivets are installed by inserting the body of the countersunk blind head rivets into a pre-drilled hole, then using a rivet tool to pull the mandrel and expand the nail rivet body and join the two pieces of material. The mandrel is then snapped off and discarded, leaving behind the set countersunk blind rivet.
Countersunk blind rivets from RC Fasteners provide a smooth offside finish and sufficient clearance for moving parts which pass over the rivet head. Our nail rivets are offered in stainless, steel and aluminum options to meet your application requirements.

Choosing a Countersunk Head Blind Rivet for Your Mechanical Application
Material choice, size and length are all important factors when selecting a nail rivet for your application. The first step is to choose a nail rivet material that matches the material being used in your application. This helps prevent issues such as rusting or the weakening of the rivet and surrounding material resulting from galvanic reactions caused by steel.Choosing the correct size is also important to ensure a secure hold that is permanent and resists vibration. The length of the nail rivet should match the thickness of the two pieces of material being fastened. You also need to add 1.5 times the diameter of the countersunk blind rivet body to your measurement to allow the rivet to deform properly. Also make sure the grip range of the countersunk blind rivet is sufficient for your material thickness and that the size of the holes being drilled matches the diameter of your rivet. Choosing one that is too small will prevent you form achieving a secure bond.
RC Fasteners offers countersunk head blind rivets in various sizes, lengths and diameters that provide a secure and vibration-resistant hold for your mechanical applications. We provide nail rivets manufactured with steel, aluminum and stainless materials in the following options:
AI5056 Aluminum/Steel Countersunk Blind Rivet
These nail rivets feature an aluminum rivet that is lightweight and resistant to corrosion and a steel mandrel that provides tensile strength.- Sizes: 4-2 to 6-8
- Grip Ranges: 0.092-0.125 to 0.376-0.500
- Diameters: 1/8, 5/32, 3/16
- Lengths: 0.25 to 0.675
Aluminum/Aluminum Countersunk Blind Rivet
Countersink blind fasteners that feature an aluminum rivet and mandrel. Aluminum provides excellent corrosion resistance but offers lower tensile strength and shear values compared to other metals.- Sizes: 4-2 to 6-8
- Grip Ranges: 0.092-0.125 to 0.376-0.500
- Diameters: 1/8, 5/32, 3/16
- Lengths: 0.25 to 0.675
Stainless 304/Stainless 304 Countersunk Blind Rivet
Countersunk blind rivets with a 304 stainless rivet and mandrel. Stainless steel provides resistance to corrosion and many chemicals and solvents, as well as superior tensile strength and shear values.- Sizes: 4-2 to 6-8
- Grip Ranges: 0.092-0.125 to 0.376-0.500
- Diameters: 1/8, 3/16
- Lengths: 0.25 to 0.675
Stainless 304 / Steel Countersunk Blind Rivet
Countersink head blind rivets designed with a 304 stainless steel rivet and a steel mandrel to provide the dual benefits of a durable mandrel for setting and a corrosion-resistant rivet for long-lasting hold in corrosive environments.- Sizes: 4-3, 4-4, 6-4
- Diameters: 1/8, 3/16
- Grip Ranges: 0.126-0.187, 0.188-0.250
- Lengths: 0.313, 0.375, 0.425
Steel/Steel Countersunk Blind Rivet, Zinc Cr+3
Nail rivets featuring a steel rivet and mandrel plated with zinc Cr+3 to provide improved corrosion resistance. Steel provides superior tensile strength and shear strength and is less expensive than other material options.- Sizes: 4-2 to 6-8
- Grip Ranges: 0.092-0.125 to 0.376-0.500
- Diameters: 1/8. 5/32, 3/16
- Lengths: 0.25 to 0.675
